Stop emailing your accountant a password

Shared logins are how audit trails die. Varetiq lets you invite your accountant with their own credentials, defined rights, and an expiry date if you want one.

Setting it up

About a minute, in plain steps

Enter their email, choose what they can do, and send. They accept, set up their own credentials, and appear in your access list with a visible history from then on.

In practice

  • No shared passwords, ever
  • Rights described in ordinary language
  • Optional expiry for seasonal work
  • Access list always visible in settings

Working together

Questions attached to the thing in question

Review notes, document requests, and adjustments all attach to the specific entry, so there is no separate email thread to reconcile against the books.

In practice

  • Notes threaded on entries and invoices
  • Requests appear in your Action Center
  • Adjustments labelled as firm work
  • Period sign-off visible to both sides

Professional access

Four professional types, each with its own bar to clear

Choosing a professional type does not grant access. Professional access opens only when the verification status on your account says so.

Verified Bookkeeping Professional

Transaction-level work — recording, reconciling, and preparing the books for review. Describing yourself as a bookkeeper is not enough: you qualify through a recognised credential or accounting education.

Eligibility — at least one pathway

  • AIPB Certified Bookkeeper (CB)
  • NACPB Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB)
  • Associate degree or higher in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Business degree with an accounting concentration
  • College-issued accounting or bookkeeping certificate
  • At least 12 semester credit hours of accounting coursework, including core financial-accounting or bookkeeping coursework

At least one approved pathway must be met and evidenced.

Accepted evidence

  • Credential or license information
  • Diploma
  • College-issued certificate
  • Official transcript

Access once verified

  • Accountant Dashboard and multi-client workspace once verified
  • Client bookkeeping, reconciliation, and document requests
  • No attest work, licensed opinions, or filing authority

Important

A company owner can always invite someone through ordinary company-specific permissions. That invitation gives access to that one company only — it does not grant an Accountant Dashboard, a professional multi-client workspace, a professional-directory listing, or accountant-level review authority. Those follow verification, not invitation.
