Varetiq Initique is a complete set of books for one legal company. The accounting engine is not reduced: the same double-entry ledger, the same chart of accounts, and the same financial statements the paid plans use.

Is Varetiq's free accounting plan really free?
Yes. Varetiq Initique is $0 per month, permanently, for one legal company. It is not a trial and it does not require a card to start.
What is the catch with the free plan?
There is no live bank enrollment on the free plan. You record transactions manually or import them by CSV. Everything else — the double-entry ledger, invoices, bills, and financial statements — works normally.
Can my accountant use the free plan with me?
Yes. Accountant access is included on every Varetiq plan including the free one, with a scoped role and a full activity log.
Does the free plan include payroll?
No. Varetiq Payroll is a separate product with its own subscription and is not included in any accounting plan, free or paid.
What happens to my data if I upgrade later?
Your company, chart of accounts, and history stay in place. Upgrading adds capability such as live bank enrollments and deeper reporting — it does not migrate or reset your books.
